Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information gathered automatically as you use the site:

• Order & contact information: name, email address, shipping address, and any message you send us — provided when you check out, use the contact form, or message us on WhatsApp.
• Payment information: we never see or store your card or PayPal login details. Payment is processed entirely by PayPal; we only receive confirmation of the order amount and your name/email as passed through checkout.
• Cart data: the contents of your shopping cart are stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and are not sent to our servers until you check out.
• Approximate location: we check your general country of origin (via IP address, through a third-party geolocation service) solely to apply regional availability rules. We do not store this lookup or link it to your identity.

How we use your information

• To process and fulfill your orders, and to contact you about them
• To respond to questions sent through our contact form or WhatsApp
• To improve our product catalog, site content, and customer support
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising profiles.

Who we share it with

We share the minimum information necessary with:

• PayPal — to process payment and shipping for your order, under PayPal's own privacy policy
• Shipping carriers — to deliver your order
• Service providers who help us run the site (e.g., hosting), bound to keep your data confidential

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of WoodySpy, our customers, or others.

Cookies & local storage

We use browser localStorage (not tracking cookies) to remember the contents of your cart between visits. This data stays on your device and is cleared if you clear your browser storage. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers on this site.

Data retention

We retain order and contact information for as long as needed to fulfill orders, meet legal/tax obligations, and resolve disputes — typically no longer than necessary for these purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, contact us and we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Children's privacy

WoodySpy is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
